TK & Kindergarten Information
2023-2024 TK & KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT TIMELINE
- December 5, 2022 - Online enrollment opens. The 23-24 enrollment application will not be available prior to this date, so please wait until December 5 to start your enrollment application. Parents of currently enrolled TK students and MEIPP students do not need to complete an online enrollment application.
- January 16, 2023 - Completed enrollment applications must be submitted by January 16th in order to be included in a lottery should a lottery be necessary at your resident school.
- Enrollment applications submitted after January 16th are received on a first come, first serve basis for space.
* If your child is currently enrolled in any district program, you DO NOT need to complete a new enrollment for the next school year
AGE REQUIREMENTS
MUSD strictly follows California Education Code on age eligibility for entry to TK and Kindergarten programs. Please carefully read the age eligibility requirements below.
2022-2023 School Year
Kindergarten:
Children who turn five years of age on or before September 1, 2022 are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten only.
Transitional Kindergarten:
If your child turns five years of age on or between September 2, 2022 and February 2, 2023, you may only enroll in the TK program.
2023-2024 School Year
Kindergarten:
Children who turn five years of age on or before September 1, 2023 are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten only.
Transitional Kindergarten:
If your child turns five years of age on or between September 2, 2023 and April 2, 2024, you may only enroll in the TK program.
